completed tasks
finally, i get place a tick next to things that i have been putting on hold for such a long time.
it has taken me a year and a half to get myself a connect group at church. not that i didn't want to attend one, rather, the constraints of time place on me by work meant that i kept missing opportunities to get connected. today, almost became another missed opportunity in the form of heavy rain, gale force winds and wet roads. interestingly, i even took a wrong turn going to church for the first time. and in fact, i was half-minded about going to church, seeing that i had a late night, woke up blurry eyed more then usual and the weather was the perfect sort to have a snooze in. it was tempting to talk myself into staying at home under my warm, soft duvet. but i knew that it would be wrong. i knew that this was something that i needed to do. prayers were said on my journey to church, for the rain to ease, for me to meet the right people, for me to find the right connect group.... the rain eased. i met the right people. found myself a connect group that was held in my suburb, on the same street that i lived on! oh, how God can answer prayers. |
