Its a scary world

In America, think its in Alabama, primary school children are going for a different kind of camp. A 3 day camp where they are taught to handle terrorist attacks and natural disasters. Simulated conditions such as bomb explosions, and plane crash sites are just a few things that they have to learn to cope with. The news report showed a young boy, possibly just around the age of 10, on the walkie talkie, giving out instructions..."we need divers...immediately", in relation to the mock victims awaiting to be fished out of the river.

I don't ever remember having to worry about terrorist attacks or natural disasters my whole life, only until recently. Even back in primary school, my camping trips were all about just having fun, with setting out tents on the damp grass and being visited by bullfrogs in the middle of the night, along with visits to the chook and pig farms (don't ask me why).

Its scary to think that we now live in a world where we have to prepare ourselves for such a cause like a terrorist attack. Whathappend to peace? What happened to growing up with no fears? What happened to respect for people, and respect for life?

Terrorist acts are not just an act of terror, but also a selfish and self-righteous one. Terrorist acts are never right, no matter what the cause. More harm then good has come out from terrorist acts.

Yes, the world is steadily crumbling, and Im not prepared for it. Doubt I nor anyone ever will be.
