Dr. Gwen

Ward rounds at 8:30am with my consultant and resident was alot different from the ward rounds that I did during my surgical rotation.

The consultant turned around to me and asked me, "where to now, Dr. Gwen?". I am pretty sure that I had this dumbfounded look on my face.

Yes, for 5 mins, I felt a sense of achievement, not only when I was called that by my consultant, but also when the patients notes were placed before me to write in notes.

It's a weird feeling that in 13 months time, I will be a doctor for real, and I will be signing off as one and not a medical student.

I used to get scared of the idea of having to be responsible for a person's life, but now, I am slowly overcoming, and realising that the God is fulfilling His promises and that there is more to come!

Yes...excited...that I am!
