Sugar and Spice and All Things Nice
I am now hyperglycemic. Too much muffins, doughnuts and fairy bread...all for a good cause of course. Birthdays, the best excuses...
Just for the sake of clarity, I have since asked a common friend concerning the actions or non-actions of our male counterpart whom I may seen chivarly die out in him yesterday. Accordingly, all things said, it may not be the death of chivarly, instead, that is who he is, and that is how he does things! Well, I am sure chivarly is not dead in him. Sometimes, it just might be who he decides to extend it to, and me not being one of them. I am still living (in my mind at least) in the age of tradition, where men, are...well, are men (supposedly in most instances). I will be the first one to admit, there are certain limitations to what women can do...but even that said, there are also certain things that men can't do that women can. Maybe thats why we need each other? God made men and women to compliment each other I would think. The main cause of my un-impression was that he was definitely in a better postion to shelter us both from the rain, with his vertical capability. Be it a male or female in that position, wouldn't it just be a norm to handle the umbrella? Or am I really living in my own world? Like a friend once said, there is no such thing as a gentleman...only a man. On another topic, I managed to swipe 2 Nestle KitKat bars for my housemates free! All because the checkout counter staff charged me for original price for the bars instead of the sale price, and hence, I got a full refund! Sweet...it does pay to check your receipts! And, for the first time in my life, I was found frantically trying to call into an Australian radio station for their top prize of $1000 dollars! Although, if I did win, I would have to split it with Nathalie cos she was the one who told me about the "What's in the Wheelie Bin?" game. Sigh. A couple of working people out at Ipswich managed to swag the win. Aren't these people suppose to be working??!!! So my financial increment are still at a count of zero. Anyone generous enough to send me a blank cheque? |
