Making Sense?

It’s funny to see yourself in people.

On one day, you wake up knowing that you are the only person that you know, that you are unique in your talents and capabilities, special in your own personality and characteristics.

Then the next day, you wake up and realize that there is someone out there, who is similar to you.

No, I am not disputing that God has made us all unique, made us different from each other. He has. Full stop. No questions asked.

I am talking about the way we respond to situations, to circumstances that surround us, in our everyday life. As I listened to a friend, I realized that once in a while, I would break out in a grin while thinking to myself in my head, “That sounds exactly what I would do!”

I am presuming this is based on the ever-controversial topic of ‘Nature vs. Nurture’.

Has anyone reacted totally differently to a particular circumstance? It seems that we all may have grown up with some-sort of ‘Role-playing guidelines: how to respond to situations around you’ book.

Whenever one is faced with a situation, they will delve into that little book, tucked at the last corner shelf, in cerebral cortex section, and flip its pages, finding out what people in the past have done in these situations, and rationalize whether to follow them.

Do we follow a set schema of things to react to situations, because it has served as well for all our lives, and because, we have been brought up in such a way, or read or watch too much books, that we have been influenced to respond in a particular way (which someone else might have responded in the exact same way, leaving it not so particular anymore)?

Am I making sense here? Or am I just doing my normal, rambling?

Or maybe, because, in actual fact, we are not so dissimilar to each other as some of us might think. Sure, we are individuals, different ideals, different ways of thoughts etc. But I have this inkling, that the fact that we are in a way similar, is not only because we are human beings (erh..duh?), but also because we were made by the same creator, and He has purposely left something special in all of us, that has made us all liken to each other.

Am I still making sense here?
